This is a drawing of a typical alleyway in the town of Brindisi. Sitting on the steps of the Church of Santa Teresa to shelter from the heat, my view was this: the junction of a street and an alleyway (exact location: Via Annibale de Leo and Vico de Dominicis). It was time for another drawing.
Brindisi sits on the Adriatic coast of Italy. It was the ancient gateway of the Romans to Greece and the East.
The ancient road, called Via Appia (the Appian Way) connects Rome to Brindisi, serving as a military route 563 km long.
(You might have seen my other drawing of Via Appia)
For me, Brindisi was a central hub, where I ventured further south and then north in Puglia.
Choose either a paper print or a canvas print. The price of a canvas print does not including shipping. Shipping cost for a canvas print will have to be calculated separately. The canvas print is stretched over a wooden frame, which will influence shipping weight. Before buying, email me first, to enquire about the shipping cost for a canvas print.
